Save smarter with LOLC: Earn Interest Plus Free Life Insurance Coverage up to USD 5,000 from LOLC

With strong consideration for customer benefits and protection, LOLC, one of the largest microfinance institutions in Cambodia, has introduced a launched a brand-new offer for two savings products: Savings Account and Digital Saving Account. Through these savings accounts, customers can deposit into either account mentioned above to receive high monthly interest and additional life insurance coverage valued up to USD 5,000 free from LOLC.

Customers will be eligible for life insurance coverage under the following conditions include:

  • The account holder must be an individual customer with Cambodian nationality, aged between 18 and 64 years old.
  • The Savings Account or Digital Saving Account must have Active Status with a minimum usage period of 3 months.
  • The customer’s total savings balance must be greater than or equal to USD 250 or KHR 1,000,000.

Insurance Coverage:

The coverage applies for the Death or Totally Permanent Disability (TPD), caused either by accident or illness, as follows:

  • Accidental Death: refers to any death resulting from an accident.
  • Non-Accidental Death (NAD): refers to a case of loss of life of the insured due to various diseases.
  • Totally Permanent Disability (TPD): refers to bodily injury that totally, or permanent disability and cannot be cured forever. In this case, Serendib defines the disability as stated below:
    • Both hands (loss of all fingers or upper part of the wrist) Or
    • Both feet (loss of all toes or upper part of the ankle) Or
    • One arm and one foot (loss of all fingers or upper part of one wrist and one ankle) Or
    • Both eyes Or
    • One eye and one hand/leg (loss of all fingers/toes or upper part of the wrist/ankle)
    • Loss of mobility (death on one side of the body or immobility).
