LOLC Launches Public Financial Literacy Campaign Through Lorry Truck
As a Cambodia's leading microfinance institution, LOLC has launched a public financial literacy campaign through its Lorry truck from October 15 to 17, 2025. The campaign was conducted across five locations in Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Speu provinces, including Rakchey Market, Sok San Central Market, Bat Dung Market, Oudong Market, and Phum Thmey Khmer Village. The event attracted strong public interest and active participation from residents.
Through this Lorry truck, LOLC provided essential knowledge on personal financial management, including savings, income and expense management. The initiative aims to help citizens understand proper saving practices and key principles for effective financial management, enabling them to apply these skills in their daily lives and enhance their financial stability.
This is not the first time LOLC has organized such financial literacy activities for the community. In fact, LOLC has been actively conducting training sessions in remote rural areas where people have limited access to financial education programs. From May 2023 to September 2025, LOLC successfully delivered 824 training sessions on financial literacy, reaching a total of 15,514 participants, including both clients and community members.
This initiative reflects LOLC’s strong commitment to community development and to promoting financial literacy among Cambodian citizens. Moving forward, LOLC will continue to develop and expand its financial literacy programs through both in-person and digital platforms, with the goal of enabling people across the country to gain essential financial knowledge, manage their finances effectively, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to building stronger communities.
Once again, Lorry truck program serves as an extension of LOLC’s ongoing financial literacy initiatives, designed to further broaden public understanding of financial management and to build greater confidence among citizens in handling their personal finances effectively.
