LOLC is honored to participate in Financial Literacy and Client Protection Workshop organized by the National Bank of Cambodia in Kampong Chhnang Province
Kampong Chhnang Province, 24 November 2025: LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., is honored to participate in Financial Literacy and Client Protection Workshop organized by the National Bank of Cambodia in Kampong Chhnang Province. This workshop was attended by His Excellency Yim Leat, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and Her Excellency Bun Sopheap, Deputy Governor of Kampong Chhnang Province and the Association of Banks in Cambodia as well as the Cambodian Microfinance Association.
The workshop aimed to share knowledge on financial literacy, address challenges related to informal and online lending risks and promote the use of formal financial services among local authorities. During the workshop, Mr. Sok Voeun, Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc, participated as guest speaker in the panel discussion on "The Participation of Local Authorities in Promoting Financial Literacy and Client Protection”.
It is noted that recently LOLC has been maintained its Gold Level Certification in Client Protection (CPP) for November 2025–November 2028 following a comprehensive assessment by M-CRIL (Micro-Credit Ratings International Ltd).
This recognition reflects nearly a decade of our unwavering commitment since 2015 to delivering fair, transparent, and responsible financial services. As one of Cambodia’s leading MDIs in client protection practices, LOLC remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards and ensuring the well-being and trust of every client we serve.
LOLC also places great emphasis on promoting financial literacy within local communities. From May 2023 to September 2025, LOLC conducted 824 financial literacy training sessions, reaching 15,514 participants, particularly targeting remote rural communities with limited access to financial education programs
Demonstrating its commitment to community development and financial empowerment, LOLC will continue to create and expand both in-person and digital financial literacy programs. Through these initiatives, LOLC aims to equip Cambodian citizens with the knowledge and tools to manage their finances effectively, enhance their quality of life, and contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities.
