Mr. Ri Rath, a farmer from Pech Chreada District, Mondulkiri Province, grows cassava and cashew trees. He is a man of strong determination and clear goals, devoted to developing his agricultural livelihood and expanding his farming operations. Today, his farm is flourishing and producing excellent results.
While walking through his cassava fields, Mr. Rath shared his experiences and the challenges he has faced, as well as the solutions that have led him to achieve his current success. He explained that cassava farming requires a large amount of capital to hire workers and rent tractors for land preparation. Due to limited financial resources, he sought a reliable financial partner to support his farming activities.
For this reason, Mr. Rath decided to partner with LOLC (Cambodia) as his trusted financial institution. He obtained his first loan from LOLC (Cambodia) in 2018, totaling 10,000,000 riels, which he used to hire workers and rent tractors for his cassava farm. Later, he continued to take additional loans in the following years to further strengthen and expand his cassava and cashew plantations. The significant investment he made in his agricultural business has paid off remarkably, as his harvest yields have steadily improved year after year since having sufficient financial resources to support the farming process, leading to a continuous increase in his income.
