Together as One: Khmer supporting Khmer! Over 6,000 Job Opportunities for Returning Workers from Thailand
Banteay Meanchey Province, 22-23 November 2025: LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., participated in the Job, Social Security, and Vocational Training Fair. The event was organized by the National Employment Agency (NEA) under the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, along with the Preah Net Preah District Administration, the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia Banteay Meanchey province, the private sector, Mett Yeung Association, education and training providers, and other relevant partners.
This Job Fair was specifically designed for our returning workers from Thailand, providing over 6,000 job opportunities, crucial information on the benefits of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), and free technical and vocational skills training for them. In addition, all returning workers and participants received complimentary transportation, meals, beverages, and coffee, as well as professional haircuts, all provided free of charge.
The Fair was attended by His Excellency Heng Sour, Minister of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. His Excellency the Minister spoke about the wages and remuneration the workers would receive, as well as the benefits available to them, such as the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and pension entitlements.
Taking this opportunity, LOLC Cambodia distributed 800 LOLC Eco bags to the attendees. This was done to encourage them to switch to using environmentally friendly Eco bags that do not negatively impact on the environment or the communities they live in. This initiative is part of LOLC's commitment to contributing to environmental preservation and promoting sustainable living. It is noted that this Job Fair will continue to be offered to all individuals, with the next one scheduled to take place on December 6th and 7th, 2025, in Siem Reap province, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Under the spirit of "Together as One: Khmer supporting Khmer!" LOLC believes that creating domestic job opportunities not only helps reduce labor migration but also contributes to the growth of the national economy. LOLC commends the initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and all relevant partners for undertaking such social activities to foster transparency and shared prosperity in Cambodia.
