LOLC Participated Annual Microfinance Conference 2025, Promoting Resilience and Innovation in Cambodia’s Financial Sector

Siem Reap Province, 05 December 2025: LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., one of the leading deposit-taking microfinance institutions in the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated in the Annual Microfinance Conference 2025, organized by the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) at the Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center in Siem Reap Province.


The Annual Microfinance Conference 2025 was held under the theme: “Cambodia Financial Inclusion in a Shifting Global Landscape.” The conference delved into how financial institutions can continue to drive responsible and inclusive practices to build a sustainable sector and contribute to a resilient economy through the utilization of digital technology, innovative solutions, fostering the enhancement of client rights and protection, environmental responsibility, and adopting Climate Finance initiatives (Green Finance). Furthermore, the conference also focused on financial inclusion within the shifting global landscape, at a time when Green Finance, financial inclusion, innovation, Gen Z human resources, and gender equality are becoming key new paradigms in society.


The conference was attended by His Excellency Yim Leat, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia; His Excellency Dy Rado, Deputy Governor of the Siem Reap Province; Her Excellency Dith Nita, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA); Mr. Sok Voeun, Vice Chairman of Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), Chairman of the Risk and Compliance Committee, and the Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. It was also attended by leaders from banking and financial institutions, regulators from relevant ministries including the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), the Ministry of Economy and Finance, development partners, and other investors, totaling approximately 400 participants.



Core Objectives of the Annual Microfinance Conference 2025:

    1. Strengthening Trust Through Responsible Lending Enhancing protection frameworks, financial literacy, and long-term client well-being.
    2. Accelerating Digital Transformation Leveraging AI, data analytics, and digital platforms to boost efficiency and expand financial inclusion.

It is noted that LOLC Cambodia is an institution that consistently strives to develop new services and technologies to respond to global financial changes.
