LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. Officially Launches Cambodia’s First “Prosperity Gold Loan” Allowing Customers to Use Gold as Collateral for Loans of Up to 70% of Gold Value.

Phnom Penh, March 2, 2026 – LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., a leading microfinance institution in Cambodia, has officially launched its new loan product, the “Prosperity Gold Loan” marking the first product of its kind in Cambodia’s banking and financial market.

Through the Prosperity Gold Loan , LOLC customers can access cash to meet their immediate financial needs, benefiting from best interest rates, high security standards, and rapid loan approval within just 10 to 15 minutes. In addition, customers can enjoy trust and security when pledging their gold with the institution.

Gold is not only worn as jewelry but is also considered a secure asset. According to Mr. Sok Voeun, customers can access loans quickly without complicated requirements. Applicants must simply be between 18 and 65 years old and own a valid Cambodian National ID card and/or passport.

Eligible gold collateral includes gold bars, gold coins, or other gold items with a purity level ranging from 6.7 to 10 (equivalent to 16 to 24 karats), with a minimum weight of 1 chi. Customers can request a loan of up to 70% of the gold’s actual market value, with best interest rates.The Prosperity Gold Loan product is implemented under strict security standards and strong risk management procedures by LOLC Cambodia a financial institution with many years of experience in the sector.
