In the context of strengthening sustainable business practices and demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, LOLC (Cambodia) has launched and implemented a solar power system installation project across its branches nationwide. In 2025, LOLC (Cambodia) successfully implemented a pilot project by installing a solar power system at the Odongk branch (ODG). The results from the pilot phase demonstrated clear achievements, significantly reducing environmental impact and lowering operational costs by more than 50%. These outcomes highlight both operational efficiency and the strong potential of renewable energy use in the institution’s business activities.

Based on these positive results, LOLC (Cambodia) has set a strategic direction to expand the project to other branches, with plans to gradually install additional solar systems across its network nationwide. The adoption of clean and renewable energy is expected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO₂), and to support global efforts in combating climate change.
