Tradition Values and Community Support: LOLC Cambodia Celebrates Pchum Ben and Donates 350 School Supply Sets to Students
Phnom Penh: On the evening of September 12, 2025, the management and staff of LOLC Cambodia participated in Pchum Ben Festival, a deeply respected cultural and traditional event in Cambodia. The ceremony featured Buddhist chanting, Dhamma talks, and offerings dedicated to ancestors, parents, and loved ones—reflecting the Khmer values of gratitude and remembrance. Offerings were also made to senior citizens and monks, preserving the rich traditions of the Cambodian people.
The next morning, on September 13, 2025, the management and staff of LOLC Cambodia prepared meals, offered alms, and contributed financial donations to monks as part of the final rituals of the Pchum Ben festival. This meaningful event was held at Dambok Khpos Pagoda, located in Tnaot Chrum Village, Boeung Tumpun II Commune, Meanchey District, Phnom Penh, in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.
As part of its efforts, LOLC Cambodia also donated 350 school supply sets, including school bags and notebooks, to students from Dambok Khpos Primary and Secondary Schools. This initiative was not only aimed at providing essential learning materials but also at inspiring students to pursue education with motivation and hope for a brighter future, empowering them to become valuable contributors to society and the nation.
