Cambodian Youth Show Strong Awareness of the Importance of Using Khmer Riel! LOLC's Short Video Competition Promoting the Riel Currency Concludes with Great Success and 3 Winning Teams!
With the objective of enhancing awareness and promoting the use of the riel currency, a vital component of national economic growth and a symbol of our identity, independence, and pride, LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. launched a short video competition under the theme "Riel Rise."
By opening the contest to the public, LOLC provided a valuable platform for young individuals passionate about content creation and video production to showcase their talents. Participants were encouraged to research, script, and produce videos that highlighted the significance of using the Riel currency in daily life, its role in boosting the national economy, reducing reliance on foreign currencies, and maintaining the nation's financial independence.

Furthermore, the video content demonstrated a deep understanding of the Riel's importance for Cambodia, its use in daily digital transactions, its historical evolution, and the crucial role of youth in its promotion.
Looking ahead, LOLC will continue to support and promote the use of the Khmer Riel. We will keep running awareness campaigns to encourage more people to use Riel, offer loans in Riel with low interest rates, provide savings accounts with high interest rates in Riel, and help customers access modern financial services through systems like Bakong, developed by the National Bank of Cambodia.
