Mr. Sok Voeun, Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., has been elected as Chairman of the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) for the 2026-2027 mandate.

Phnom Penh,12 March 2026 - Mr. SOK Voeun, Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., has been elected as Chairman of the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) for the 2026-2027 mandate.

According to the statement of the Cambodian Microfinance Association, these leadership positions were elected by the newly formed CMA Board of Directors. The selection followed an election held during the CMA Annual General Assembly 2026 held on March 12, which brought together more than 100 member institutions, including Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), banks, Financial Leasing Institutions (FLIs), and Rural Credit Institutions (RCIs).

The newly elected Board will guide the strategic direction of the Association and continue advancing responsible lending practices, consumer protection, and financial inclusion across the country.

In addition to the appointment of Mr. SOK Voeun as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cambodia Microfinance Association and Her Excellency DITH Nita as Vice Chairwoman of the Board for the 2026–2027 mandate, member institutions of the Association have also elected 11 industry leaders to serve as members to the CMA Board of Directors. These members are drawn from various institutions across the financial sector, as listed below:

2. H.E. DITH Nita, Vice-Chairwoman, from CAMMA Microfinance Institution

It is also significant to mention that Mr. Sok Voeun, the Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. He is also a member of Certified Management Accountants (CMA), a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), a Board Member of the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) and previously served as Vice Chairman of CMA for the 2024–2025 mandate. With over two decades of expertise in the banking and microfinance industries, his background encompasses digital innovation and product development, as well as leadership and management across credit, risk, finance, and human resources. He obtained his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Banking from Build Bright University in 2005 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Science in Management of Enterprise from the former Faculty of Law and Economics Science in 2000.
