    The sustainability management team has persisted in its goal of offering clients and villagers in rural area financial education awareness training on "dept management," with the backing of the management. The major goal of this training is to give participants the necessary knowledge to make wise decisions before taking out a loan and to properly manage their debt to strengthen the family economy and support the growth of the community. On March 12, 2024, 110 people attended this financial education awareness training, including 50 women from some isolated villages. The training consisted of 4 sessions, as follows: 1. Pu Leh village, Dak Dam commune, Ou Reang district, Mondul Kiri province. 2. Pu Chhab village, Dak Dam commune, Ou Reang district, Mondul Kiri province. 3. Thnal Bambaek Village, Anlong Veaeng Commune, Anlong Veaeng District, Oddar Meanchey Province. 4. Thnal Totueng Village, Anlong Veaeng Commune, Anlong Veaeng District, Oddar Meanchey Province.

    These are activities of the LOLC (Cambodia)-Phnum Sruoch branch in corporate social responsibility activities with the purpose of contributing to developing the next generation to have a good education to become valuable citizens for the country in the future. The activities were held in the morning of March 2, 2024, by distributing some study materials for students, as well as office materials and other materials such as brooms, chairs, bins, and water containers, in order to support student education at Kraing Thom Primary School, located in Kampong Speu Province.

    These are the activities on February 27, 2024, of clients and villagers attended financial education awareness training courses on "Debt Management". Their attention reflected the benefit of training, which provided them with key messages of effectiveness in debt management. This also demonstrated of LOLC Cambodia care in promoting financial education awareness to its clients and other participants as well. The trainings were attended by a total of 99 participants, including 83 females that Sustainability Management team directly taught in 4 villages of their living area, as in the following: 1. Kdol Village, Mlu Prey Muoy Commune, Mongkol Chhaeb District, Preah Vihear Province. 2. Boh Village, Mlu Prey Pir Commune, Mongkol Chhaeb District, Preah Vihear Province. 3.     On February 24, 2024, LOLC (Cambodia) Moung Ruessei Branch organized a community event in Damnak Run Primary School, located in Kosh Thkov Village, Kear Commune, Moung Ruessei District, Tboung Khmum Province. Distributed study materials to students, planted trees, provided books for the library, donated 2 beaches and painted school fences as well in the event. These activities show the love and care of LOLC (Cambodia) to the community, especially contributing to promote environment and education sector in Cambodia.

    These are the activities of clients and villagers who are focusing on financial education awareness training courses on "Debt Management". The attention reflected benefit of lessons so that they can know about their payment capacity before applying the loan and some key messages to avoid over-indebtedness, especially aware them the benefit of selected formal financial institution for support, rather than using informal loans with high interest rates without client protection principle that leading them to have risks in the future. The trainings were held on February 22 and 23, 2024, with 53 total participants including 42 females in 3 villages as mentioned in the following: 1. Khnar Village, Chheu Teal Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province. 2. Enteak Chit Village, Chheu Teal Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province. 3. Prey Chaek Village, Kampong Preah Commune, Sangkae District, Battambang Province.

    On February 20 and 21, 2024, 152 participants of LOLC Cambodia’s clients and villagers, including 115 women attended in a financial literacy awareness training course on “Debt Management” which trained by Sustainability Management team of LOC Cambodia. The training was conducted in the following villages: 1. Kampong preah village, Kampong preah commue, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 2. Sras Kaev village, Kampong Preah commune, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 3. Roka village, Roka commune, Sangkae district, Battambang province. 4. Samdach Village, Ta Pon Commune, Sangkae District, Battambang province. 5. Dar Village, Dar Commune, Chetr Borei District, Kratie Provice. 6. Anhchanh Village, Dar Commune, Chetr Borei District, Kratie Province. 7. Chuor Chrey Village, Dar Commune, Chetr Borei District, Kratie Province. 8. Stueng Svay Village, Dar Commune, Chetr Borei District, Kratie Province. The attention of the participants in this training shown about the benefits of the training, which aware them about debt management, as well as providing them some key messages to avoid over-indebtedness.

    These are the activities of the Sustainability Management Team of LOLC Cambodia, provided financial education awareness training to clients and villagers living in rural areas so they can have better understand about “Dept Management”. After attending this training, they could receive some key messages including types of loans which increase expense or increase income, repayment capacity for applying the loans, and the prevention of over-indebtedness. The training courses were held on 07th to 09th February 2023 with a total participant of 138, including 79 women in 8 villages: 1.     Sustainability Management team of LOLC Cambodia traveled to Ratanak Kiri and Koh Kong Provinces to provide financial literacy awareness training to clients and villagers within its operation areas on Dept Management aiming to have them more understandable about the effectiveness of loan management. The above activities confirm the significant contribution of Pailin branch in promoting the education sector in Cambodia in terms of participating in cultivating and developing the next generation to have sufficient knowledge that can help themselves and the country in the future.

Suosdei Village, Ta Loas Commune, Moung Russei District, Battambang Province. The aim of these training courses is to help clients and other participants tapplying for their loans effectively by sharing important key messages including consideration before applying loans and the right purpose of using them to avoid over-indebtedness.
