    Education is a fundamental pillar for the development of human resources, communities, and the nation. Recognizing the importance of education, LOLC Cambodia (Prey Kabbas Branch) organized a community initiative on August 1, 2026, in Thlok Doung Tum Village, Ban Kam Commune, Prey Kabbas District, Takeo Province. On this occasion, the LOLC Cambodia (Prey Kabbas District Branch)’s team provided various supplies and carried out several social activities, including providing waste bins, repairing the school access road, and constructing a flagpole at Ban Kam Primary School. These activities aimed to facilitate students’ access to the school, particularly during the rainy season, while contributing to a cleaner, safer, and more attractive learning environment. In addition, the provision of waste bins helped raise awareness of hygiene and encourage students to develop good habits in properly disposing of waste, maintaining cleanliness, and working together to keep the school environment clean. The LOLC Cambodia (Prey Kabbas District Branch)’s team handed over the donated materials to the principal of Ban Kam Primary School in a warm, friendly, and joyful atmosphere. This initiative demonstrates LOLC Cambodia’s commitment to supporting the development of education, improving the quality of life in local communities, and promoting sustainable corporate social responsibility.

    Through the organizing of Financial Education Awareness training sessions on “Understanding Debt and Debt Management” from 3 to 14 August 2026, LOLC Cambodia contributed to strengthening participants’ understanding of responsible loan usage, effective loan management, and sound financial decision-making, thereby promoting greater financial literacy and well-being among its clients and community members. The training sessions were voluntarily attended by a total of 609 clients and community members, including 417 women, and were conducted at the following locations: 1. Bar Kaev district, Ratanak Kiri province 2. Andoung Meas district, Ratanak Kiri province 3. Ou Chum district, Ratanak Kiri province 4. Veun Sai district, Ratanak Kiri province 5. Prey Kabbas district, Takeo province 6. Angkor Borei district, Takeo province 7. Kampong Trach district, Kampot province

  • LOLC Cambodia organized a roadshow campaign using a Lorry under the theme “Saving and Income-Expense Management,”

    To contribute to the promotion of financial literacy, LOLC Cambodia organized a roadshow campaign using a Lorry under the theme “Saving and Income-Expense Management,” delivering educational messages and practical financial knowledge directly to communities. The campaign aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of saving, financial planning, and effective income and expense management to strengthen household financial stability and improve overall quality of life. The campaign was conducted from 15 to 26 June 2026 and engaged a total of 231 participants, including 178 women, comprising both clients and community members. The activities were carried out in several locations across Takeo Province, including: 1. Khan Kamboul, Phnom Penh city 2. Angk Snuol District, Kandal Province 3. Samkkei Munichay District, Kampong Speu Province 4. Odongk Maechay District, Kampong Speu Province

  • LOLC Cambodia (Anlong Veng Branch) continues to contribute to supporting and easing the hardships of communities and clients under all circumstances

    LOLC Cambodia (Anlong Veng Branch) continues to contribute to supporting and easing the hardships of communities and clients under all circumstances! On May 18, 2026, LOLC Cambodia (Anlong Veng Branch) provided food supplies, daily necessities, and other essential materials to LOLC clients who were affected by strong winds that caused damage to their homes in Kouk Samor Village, Lumtong Commune, Anlong Veng District, Oddar Meanchey Province. Through this activity, LOLC Cambodia hopes to help relieve difficulties and encourage affected clients to overcome this situation safely and return to their normal livelihoods as soon as possible.

    Contributing to community development is one of the initiatives that LOLC Microfinance Institution consistently supports and actively participates in. On May 23, 2026, LOLC Cambodia (Peam Ro District Branch) organized a community event at Sala Primary School, located in Sala Village, Romchek Commune, Preah Sdach District, Prey Veng Province. During the event, the branch donated benches and waste bins, and planted several trees to help promote hygiene, a greener environment, and a more conducive learning atmosphere for students.

    Enhancing financial literacy is a key factor in helping people develop the knowledge and skills needed to manage their finances effectively and improve their overall quality of life. From 1 to 12 Jun 2026, the Sustainability Management Team of LOLC Cambodia organized 30 training sessions on “Understanding Debt & Debt Management” for clients and community members. The training focused on promoting responsible borrowing practices and increasing participants’ understanding of effective debt management to support sustainable livelihood improvement and economic development within their communities. A total of 539 participants attended the training sessions, including 396 women, at the locations listed below: 1. Angkor Thum district, Siemreap province 2. Siemreap district, Siemreap province 3. Ou Ya Dav district, Ratanak Kiri province 4. Bar Kaev district, Ratanak Kiri province 5. Andoung Meas district, Ratanak Kiri province 6. Ou Chum district, Ratanak Kiri province 7.     LOLC Cambodia organized a training session for students of Build Bright University under the theme “Financial Literacy in the Digital Era and Career Opportunities at LOLC Cambodia.” The training aimed to strengthen students’ financial literacy and provide insights into career opportunities within the financial sector​ on June 23, 2026 in Phnom Penh. The training was attended by 78 students from Build Bright University, who gained valuable knowledge and new experiences to complement their academic studies. During the session, students received practical knowledge on personal financial management, including the importance of financial literacy in the digital era, effective management of personal income and expenses, developing good saving habits, understanding the fundamentals of investment, and learning how to identify and protect themselves from online financial scams. As part of the program, LOLC Cambodia also introduced various career opportunities available within the institution. Information was shared on the organization’s work culture, professional development programs, internship opportunities, and career pathways in the financial sector. The session encouraged students to prepare for future employment by developing the skills, knowledge, and professional competencies required in today’s competitive job market. Through this initiative, LOLC Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to promoting financial literacy among young people and supporting the development of future human capital. Through collaboration with educational institutions, LOLC continues to contribute to building a generation of financially literate, skilled, and capable young people who can actively support Cambodia’s sustainable economic and social development.

LOLC Cambodia believes that support provided today is a valuable contribution to creating learning opportunities and fostering children's development. Through this initiative, we hope to help improve the learning environment and continue building thriving, sustainable communities.

    LOLC Cambodia (Preah Vihear Branch) was delighted to organize a meaningful community event by donating waiting benches and trash bins to Tbeng Meanchey District Hall, located in Promeru Village, Promeru Commune, Tbeng Meanchey District, Preah Vihear Province, for public use while accessing services. In addition, branch staff also participated in tree planting activities to contribute to environmental protection, especially by creating shade and a more pleasant atmosphere for members of the public visiting the district hall for services. This activity was conducted on May 16, 2026, with the objective of supporting the delivery of public services to residents, while also strengthening the good relationship between LOLC Cambodia and the local community.

    LOLC Cambodia continued its outreach to communities through a roadshow campaign using a Lorry, delivering financial literacy on “saving and income–expense management” to residents. This activity aims to promote broader community awareness of proper, disciplined, and effective financial management in daily life. Through this campaign, participants were encouraged to build saving habits by starting with small amounts and to understand the benefits of tracking their income and expenses. The training program was conducted from April 27 to May 01, 2026, with a total of 169 participants, including 122 women, across several locations such as: 1. Trapeang Kranhoung Village, Trapeang Kranhoung Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province. 2. Ta Leak Khang Tboung Village, Kus Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province. 3.     Understanding financial knowledge on loan usage helps borrowers manage their loans properly and effectively, which can improve their family’s living standards. For this reason, to enhance financial literacy, LOLC Cambodia organized a training program under the topic “Understanding Debt and Debt Management” for clients and other community members. A total of 22 sessions were conducted from April 20 to April 30, 2026, with 445 participants in total, including 333 women, across several locations as listed below: 1. Veun Sai Distric, Ratanak Kiri Province 2. Koun Mom Disrict, Ratanak Kiri Province 3. Ta Veaeng District, Ratanak Kiri Province 4. Ou Ya Dav District, Ratanak Kiri Province 5.     In line with its commitment to contributing to various social initiatives, LOLC Cambodia (Prampir Meakkakra II Branch, organized a social activity under its community event program. The branch provided educational materials to students, along with electric fans for installation in classrooms at the Red Stone World Mission Organization, located in Preaek Roteang Village, Preaek Kampues Sangkat, Dangkao District, Phnom Penh City. This social activity was held on the morning of April 27, 2026, with the objective of supporting the education of children studying at the organization, encouraging them to continue striving in their studies, and improving the classroom environment. At the same time, the activity also reflected the care and compassion of LOLC Cambodia staff toward the children.

    Taking their valuable time, 449 clients and villagers, including 309 women, voluntarily participated in a Financial Education Awareness training under the topic “Understanding Debt and Debt Management,” organized by LOLC Cambodia from February 16 to February 20, 2026. Through this training, participants gained essential knowledge, including how to assess their personal debt situation, calculate repayment capacity, and apply proper and effective loan management methods. Below are some photos from the 24 training sessions conducted across 9 districts in 3 provinces including Ratanak Kiri, Prey Veng and Kampong Cham.

From March 23 to March 31, 2026, the training program was actively conducted across various communities, with a total of 23 sessions and 370 participants, including 258 women, held in the locations as presented below: 1.
