LOLC Cambodia is strongly committed to enhancing client awareness by equipping them with financial knowledge, recognizing that knowledge is the key to financial success. From October 24 to 25, 2024, LOLC Cambodia provided loan management training to its clients within their communities, with the purpose of delivering clear guidance on effective debt management and helping them develop the ability to make independent financial decisions. This training was not only offered to LOLC Cambodia clients but also to other villagers, with a total of 152 participants, including 127 women, from various villages and communes as outlined below: 1. Moreover, at this event, the Bar Kaev branch manager shared advice and experiences to motivate the students to study hard, gain knowledge, and pursue successful careers, paving the way for a prosperous future. In early July 2024, the Sustainability Management Team conducted a comprehensive training session on "Debt Management," engaging a diverse group of 433 participants, including 341 women, from both our client base and the public. The enthusiasm and engagement of the attendees highlighted the significant value and practical benefits of the training. This initiative successfully enhanced participants' awareness and equipped them with essential knowledge for managing their financial responsibilities effectively in their daily lives. On August 03rd, 2024, the Koh Kong and Anlong Veng Branches of LOLC Cambodia made a significant contribution by donating essential study materials, including books, pens, pencils, correction pens, erasers, and rulers, along with materials for teachers. Additionally, both branches generously provided benches to the schools. The events took place at Smach Meanchey Primary School and O’svay Secondary School. The primary objective of these donations is to enhance the educational experience and overall well-being of the students by supplying them with necessary study materials and benches, thereby fostering a more conducive learning environment. -

In the last week of July, the Sustainability Management Team traveled to Pailin and Stung Treng Province to conduct training sessions on effective debt management for clients and community members. This financial education awareness training provided valuable insights, enabling participants to make informed decisions about borrowing and using loans properly to mitigate future risks. Through this initiative, LOLC Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to raising awareness and aligning with its Client Protection Principles for sustainable growth. From July 30 to 31, 2024, the team delivered 9 training sessions to a diverse group of 170 participants, including 115 women. The training locations are detailed below: 1. On August 10th, 2024, the Baray District Branch of LOLC Cambodia conducted a donation event at Kampong Thmor High School, located in Thun Mong village, Kampong Thmor commune, Kampong Thom province. This event aimed to support 100 students by providing each with a set of study materials including books, pens, pencils, correction pens and erasers. On the morning of June 08, 2024, the LOLC’s staffs of Chikreng Branch organized a significant community event at Kdei Beng Secondary School in Thnal Village, Lveang Russey Commune, Chi Kreng District, Siem Reap Province. The event aimed to encourage students into valuable human resources for their future growth and development by providing essential study and teaching materials such as books, pens, markers, marker ink, A4 paper, plastic chairs, and bins. Moreover, towards environmental conservation, the staff also planted saplings on the school premises to contribute to a greener future. -

From May 28th to May 31st, 2024, the Sustainability Management Team traveled to Mondul Kiri to deliver debt management training to clients, enhancing their financial literacy and improving their debt management efficiency. Additionally, participants gained insights into environmental and social issues, encouraging them to actively participate in environmental protection and to prioritize education by supporting their children's pursuit of the highest levels of education. The training is not only provided to LOLC clients, but also to the public. As a result, there were a total of 82 participants, including 59 women participants in 7 villages as shown below. 1. The training covered key considerations such as loan purposes, repayment capacity, and avoiding multiple loans.
