  • LOLC Cambodia is highly committed to enhancing Financial Education Awareness of clients and public

    With a clear objective to enhance financial education awareness, LOLC Cambodia has introduced a valuable lesson to provide training to customers and other villagers across various provinces, focusing on debt management. This training was conducted from March 3 to 7, 2025, with a total of 257 participants, including 186 women, comprising both customers and other villagers. The sessions were held in several villages as outlined below: 1. Kien Khleang Village, Ampil Tuek Commune, Kampong Tralach District, Kampong Chhnang Province. 2.   • Some of the activities from the community event were held on February 22, 2025, by LOLC Cambodia (Pursat Branch)

    This event was organized to distribute school supplies to students at Trapeang Khley Primary School. In addition, the branch also provided seating benches and filled the schoolyard with cement concrete. This meaningful initiative is an important part of LOLC Cambodia’s commitment to supporting students' education. In line with its dedication, LOLC Cambodia consistently implements such activities to promote education within the community and contribute to the development of valuable future human resources for the nation’s future.

  • On March 22, 2025, LOLC Cambodia (Prey Veng branch) was delighted to donate benches and trash bins to Samdech Techo Hun Sen Kampong Leav High School

    On March 22, 2025, LOLC Cambodia (Prey Veng branch) was delighted to donate benches and trash bins to Samdech Techo Hun Sen Kampong Leav High School, located in Eik Ream Village, Kampong Leav Commune, Prey Veng City, Prey Veng Province. This initiative aimed to support students’ education and promote hygiene within the school grounds. The event brought together 210 participants, including the branch manager, branch staff, the school principal, teachers, and students. During the event, the Prey Veng branch manager delivered insightful messages to the students, encouraging them to focus on their studies, gain knowledge, and become capable of leading themselves, supporting their families, and contributing to social development.

    From March 24 to March 28, 2025, the Sustainability Management Department team of LOLC Cambodia conducted a Financial Education Awareness training on Debt Management for clients and other villagers. A total of 163 participants attended the training, including 111 women. The training sessions were held in several villages, including: 1. Prey Peay Village, Angk Ta Saom Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province 2. Trapeang Veaeng Village, Phong Commune, Basedth District, Kampong Speu Province 3. Prey Mnou Village, Phong Commune, Basedth District, Kampong Speu Province 4. Trapeang Khchau Village, Ou Saray Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province 5. Trapeang Kranhoung Village, Trapeang Kranhoung Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province 6. Angk Ta Ngel Village, Kus Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province 7. Ta Leak Khang Tboung Village, Kus Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province 8. Tuol Khlong Village, Ou Saray Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province In each training session, participants were highly engaged, actively taking part in practical exercises, asking questions, and responding thoughtfully. The active participation demonstrated that the training content was valuable to them. The knowledge gained from the sessions would help them manage loans properly, assess their borrowing capacity, and avoid potential pitfalls that could lead to over-indebtedness.

    Specifically, LOLC Cambodia (Bati branch) took part in organizing the installation of floor tiles in the courtyard of Hang Ngo Smao Khnhey Primary located in Smao Khnhey Village, Trapeang Sap Commune, Bati District, Takeo Province. This meaningful community event took place on April 5, 2025. The event was attended by the branch manager and staff of LOLC Cambodia (Bati Branch), along with the school principal, teachers, local authorities, and students' parents. The primary objective was to enhance the school's aesthetics and create a more engaging learning environment for students. Through this dedicated effort, LOLC Cambodia strongly hopes that our contribution will serve as motivation for all students to pursue their education with determination.

    From March 31 to April 4, 2025, the Sustainability Management Team of LOLC (Cambodia) provided Financial Education Awareness training on “Debt Management” to communities in its operational areas. A total of 14 training sessions were conducted, with 205 participants in total, including 153 women, across 14 different villages as detailed below: 1.     The Angkor Chum Branch of LOLC Cambodia proudly organized a significant community event at Kork Srok Primary School, located in Varin Village, Varin Commune, Varin District, Siem Reap Province. Key activities of the event included: filling the school yard with soil to create a safer and better environment, distributing essential study materials to support students’ education, donating benches to enhance the school’s facilities and overall appearance. This event took place on the morning of November 23, 2024, and was a resounding success thanks to the teamwork and unity of the LOLC Cambodia staff, as well as the warm welcome from the school principal, teachers, and students. Through this community initiative, LOLC Cambodia demonstrated its strong commitment to supporting education in the community by fostering an improved learning environment for students.

    LOLC Cambodia is always active in promoting social and environmental causes! On October 26, 2024, the Kampong Trach branch organized a community event aimed at promoting education and improving the environment. In this event, we provided benches and office supplies for teachers, as well as distributed school supplies to students. The staff from the Kampong Trach branch also brought several trees and planted them within the school grounds to provide shade and enhance the environment for students as the trees grow. This community event took place at Kaoh Tromung primary school, located in Kaoh Tromung Village, Boeng Sala Khang Cheung Commune, Kampong Trach District, Kampot Province. This event was participated by village chiefs, school directors, teachers, LOLC Cambodia staff, and students. This clearly demonstrates LOLC Cambodia’s commitment to community development through corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

  • Financial literacy is extremely important for everyone

    Financial literacy is extremely important for everyone, as it is an essential life skill that plays a crucial role in making financial decisions in daily life. To promote awareness of this vital knowledge, LOLC Cambodia reached out to its customers in their communities to provide practical training sessions focused primarily on loan management. These sessions aim to help participants understand how to use loans correctly and responsibly. Obviously, from December 2 to December 6, 2024, the LOLC Cambodia team conducted a total of 14 training sessions for its clients, which also included participation from the public. The sessions were attended by a total of 218 participants, including 166 women. These training sessions were conducted in various villages as detailed below: 1. Tuol Chan Village, Leuk Daek Commune, Kaoh Thum District, Kandal Province. 2. Preaek Ta Dol Village, Pouthi Ban Commune, Kaoh Thum District, Kandal Province. 3.     For the year 2024, the sustainability management team of LOLC Cambodia has provided a total of 318 financial education awareness training to clients and other participants, with a total of 6,264 attendees, including 4625 women. These training sessions were conducted in various villages and communes within branch operational areas across all 25 provinces and cities in Cambodia. This remarkable achievement demonstrates that LOLC Cambodia consistently prioritizes and actively contributes to promoting financial education awareness among its customers as well as the public. By raising awareness and equipping them with essential financial knowledge, LOLC Cambodia enables individuals to apply this knowledge to their daily lives. Notably, after completing the training sessions, participants expressed great satisfaction and a strong interest in having more similar training programs in the future. In response to this positive feedback, LOLC Cambodia plans to continue delivering financial education awareness training to communities in the coming year, introducing new and beneficial lessons related to financial education awareness, including environmental knowledge, to its clients and other villagers in the community.
