Mobile Development Specialist
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain high-performance mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using native (Kotlin/Swift) or cross-platform (Flutter/Reach Native) frameworks.
- Lead architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Drive the adoption of clean architecture, design pattern and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product manager, UI/UX designers, and backend teams to shape product direction.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, tools, and SDKs into mobile solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation testing strategies.
- Monitor app performance, crash analytic, and user feedback to improve quality and user experience.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Debug and resolve application issues, bugs, and crashes.
- Integrate third-party APIs, SDKs, and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies in mobile development.
- Document development processes, architecture, and technical specifications.
- Apply OWASP (Open Worldwide Application Security Project) Top 10 principles in all stages of software development, with specific emphasis on input validation, authentication, and access control.
- Optimize mobile applications to ensure high performance, efficient memory usage, and minimal battery consumption, aligning with best practices in mobile development.
- Ensure secure and efficient data synchronization between mobile applications and backend systems.
- Evaluate and recommend system improvements focused on performance, security, and maintainability.
- Support and handle tasks assigned by management, including urgent security patching and audit preparedness.
Qualifications and Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development.
- Deep experience in Swift/Objective-C (iOS) and/or Kotlin/Java.
- Experience with Flutter, React Native or Xamarin in a strong plus.
- Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to complex mobile projects.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, offline storage, third-party integration, and Json data handling.
- Solid understanding of mobile app lifecycle, threading, and memory management.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs, push notifications, and mobile security standards.
- Experience with mobile app deployment (Google Play Store, Apple App Store).
- Familiarity with UX/UI design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with secure DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and automated security testing.
- Proficiency in modern mobile architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture, with the ability to apply them effectively for scalable and maintainable application design.
- Knowledge of enterprise databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle with a focus on secure data handling.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across units.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Experience in the banking or microfinance sector is preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Fastlane, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
