Main Responsibilities:

• Software installation and maintenance
• Data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Specialized data handling
• Database backup and recovery
• Security and log review
• Authentication
• Capacity planning
• Performance monitoring
• Database tuning
• Troubleshooting

• Work with database software (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) to store, organize and manage data and troubleshoot issues.
• Keep databases up to date.
• Helping database design and development.
• Design and implement maintenance procedures into operations.
• Liaise with programmers, application/operations staff, IT project managers and other technical teams.
• Managing database security, integrity and backup procedures.
• Defining objectives through consultation with staff at all levels.
• Writing reports, documentation, and operating manuals.
• Testing and modify databases and applications to ensure reliable operation.
• Providing user training, support and feedback.
• Archiving data .
• Proper log review, reporting and recordation of (if any).

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant certification.
• Proven working experience as a Database or Application Support (minimum 2 years).
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
• Experience with Oracle features is mandatory for Oracle DBA roles; Oracle-related certification is an advantage:
• Oracle Database Enterprise Edition
• Diagnostic Packs
• Tuning Pack
• Real Application Clusters
• Audit Vault and Database Firewall
• Familiarity with programming language APIs.
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
